any write ups on installing AC compressor?

any write ups on installing AC compressor?

My Compressor crapped out on me, and im in the process of looking for a new one and what not...

i was being charged $600 in total for all the work involved...and thats wayyyy tooo much!

any write ups?

Not that I could find. I just recently did it. Getting it out wasn't too bad, but putting it in was a little harder. If you have patience you'll get it.

Pick up a Hayne's Manual. It'll help you more than you'd ever imagine.

To each his own. I've had zero problems with my Hayne's -- it was definately worth the $15-some odd dollars.

$600 for parts and labor on the A/C install -- that's not high. That's typical. I paid a little more than that and needed a few more parts.

The labor is expensive for a reason -- have you seen where the compressor is?

I have actually used both on different cars and noticed that it seems maybe we should check both for side by side comparisons. Dont know what shat it didnt tell you but Haynes seemed to miss some details.
