Any way to make an o2 sensor last a few more days?

My right side o2 is toast, sows a low voltage/lean condition. I have 2 new ones on order, but is there any way to make the bad one work for another 2 or 3 days? Maybe take it out and clean it somehow? If not, would it be posible to make the car run in open loop? My drive to work is only 3 miles.

Disconnect both sensors and it will run in open loop. (it will set a service engine light until you get them replaced though)
