Thinking of getting one of these optis to put on my 396 solid roller strokers, what are the benefits?

Yes, I have looked at their site. Thought maybe some people on the board could give me some feedback about their product.

I just installed one of those last weekend along with a newer cam and some other items.

Do a search as there has been numerous discussion threads on this aftermarket opti.

From my observation and opinion, the DynaSpark is a well constructed unit with quality parts and workmanship. The unit is beautiful (mine is anodized red) and certainly appears to be much more durable and moisture resistant that the oem. DynaTech has excellent customer support and the opti comes with comprehensive install and opti technical info important to ensuring a long life...or avoiding a short life if the advice is not heeded. If your cam dowel is not within measurements/tolerances, you can kiss your opti good bye in short order (i.e. I had to grind on the CC cam dowel I installed as it was way out in length.)

The price is high and I'm sure an obstacle for many to justify the improvements over the oem unit. Overall, it appears to be a nice product but I'm not sure about the value. Only time and miles will tell.

Thus far I am pleased.
