Any HP gains from aftermarket catback?

After reading old posts I have no clue if I should go ahead and get a catback. Some say 15 to 20 HP gains and others say next to nothing? Has anyone ever dynoed their car after installing an aftermarket catback system and if so what was the gain?

All replies apreciated!

Thanks,
Rich

Yes there is a gain with aftermarket catback systems. You are gonna wanna get a good catback or at least a cutout before you start makeing good power.

13.89 was the best I had but that was before the headers were on. I have not made it back to the track yet but plan on it soon. I am putting an underdrive pulley on and thinking of getting a catback put on before going. Im hoping to beat my 13.89 and get a new best. I just didnt know if the catback was really woth it?

Thanks,
Rich

I would think a catback should cut a tenth or possibly two but a cutout is cheaper and will likey gain more at the track.I love my dmh on my 99 and plan on one for my 96 shortly.
