Any good starters out there?
Any good starters out there?
I've gone through 3 starters in about 3 years. Is the LT4 any good? I'd like to find one smaller than stock, with some *****! Or maybe I should look into a starter blanket. Any of you guys use those?
My stock engine killed two OEM starters. I've been running a CVR PRoTorque starter on the stroker for 4 years now.... its smaller, has *****, and can be "rotated" to clear headers. Was $150 from JEG's but I don't see it in their catalog any more... but you might look to see if you can find it anywhere else.

Another vote for the CVR unit. Requires some grinding on the mounting plate to clear the oil pan. I've had it for about 2 years with no complaints...

it is cheaper, smaller, lighter, and sounds better than the stock one.
