Question any good shop in NY area?

Hey whats up guys? i have a quick question that im hoping someone can answer. I was wondering if any one knows of any good performance shops in the NY area. I'm looking to do some engine work (heads, cam etc...maybe stroker motor) and i'm wondering if anyone knows any reputable shop around NY. After hearing about the incidents with ARE, Nu-tek etc., i'm a little cautious about where i can bring my car. Anyone hear anything good (or bad) about Vette Doctors? Anyways any info, opinions etc would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If your able to do it yourself.. Merkyl in Haupauggue, has gotten very good rep around the area... LIzzard Racing in Lindy... is good as well.. Lil pricey though.. Vette Doctor's is a good option as well. both Lizzard and Vette Dr's will do the whole car i believe where as merkyl don't get involved in that.. Good lUck..

Hey guys, thanks for the input. Now i have a couple of options that I can work with. Oh and i forgot to mention what i'm trying to accomplish with the engine. Basically i have an Lt-1...and interested in stroking it to a 383 or 396 and i'm also considering adding turbos. So anyways it looks like i have a few places to contact now, thanks to everyone. And if anyone else has an ideas and suggestions, let me know.
