Any benefit to using 3/8" push rods?

Just what the title says. I currently use Comp hi-tech chromeoly .080" push rods. I have been reading that there may be gains to be had by going larger.

The benefit appears to be related to better being able to reduce valve bounce with high lift applications. Of course this would require 3/8" size guide plates which may or may not exist for LT1.

Has anyone tried this or is it a total waste of time and money?

You running a hyd. cam? waste of time.....

You just got rid of the float so I would not want to add that wt. to it.

If you had a big *** solid roller it may be worth a little.

Like mdacton said, unless you are running a solid roller cam with mega spring pressures, don't give it another thought.
