Well, I am in the process of ordering parts to rebuild the top end of my engine, hopefully gaining at least 50hp. I am buying most of the stuff used because I am going to start on a totally different engine this summer, but I need something to hold me over till I am done. Anyways, what parts do I need. I know I need 1.6 rr's, springs, seats, locks, retainers, and a cam. What other little parts do I need? Like hardened pushrods, rocker arm studs, guideplates, and all that junk. Which of those kinds of things would I also need to by. The roller rockers I got are NSA, so would I need any other parts to use those? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

You need guide plates for sure.If your car is a 93-95 you already have hardened push rods.If your rockers are 3/8 the studs you have are fine...Good luck.

 

Alright thanks, any other advice guys? What gaskets will I need, just head and intake, or will I need a new timing chain cover gasket?
