Another >Need Injector Help Post

OK. I have searched, and searched and searched. Both the board and
the Internet and I still have no idea what to do. I will be upgrading to
either 30# or 36# injectors when I do a head/intake swap. The problem
is I have no idea which injector to use. I've seen all the stuff on these
sites:

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/

http://www.racetronix.com/

I have read about the Bosch EV 1, EV 6, EV 14, read about the pintle vs.
disc, read about spray patterns, connectors, etc. All I really want to know
is what is the best 30/36# injector for the LT1 that is a direct swap in
replacement (I know the PCM also needs reprogramming). I want the injector
to just plug right in exactly the same as the stock injector.

So please, explain all you want in great detail, but give me a model # that
you recommend. I mean the exact part number so I can't possibly get it
wrong.

i cant give you great detail but all the research i did and help from lloyd i got the svo 30's. they are rated at 30 for a ford at a lower fuel pressure than a chevy so they will "act" like a 36# roughly. they plug right in with modification and work great

You get a second here on those 30# SVO's. I'm running mods, heads/cam/LT's and they work great. The exact part #, well link actually, is http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

The "they work with modification" is what I would like to know more about.
Also, this is what I have found out about the SVO 30#:

The Bosch number is 0280150756. The Ford numbers are M-9593-B302F (F is for flow matched) and M-9593-B302 (non flow matched).

They are all Bosch injectors but Ford Racing flow matches them as the B-302 within 2%. If they have the B-302-F they are flowmatched within 1%.

What exactly is different about installing these in an LT1? And is all this stuff
true about the flow matching?

Don't know about the flow matching, but I do know there is nothing different about installing them on the LT1. Only small issue you will have to decide is if you want to run the clips or not. The only other thing is the tune. Won't change the constant to 30 but 31.7 IIRC because from 39 to 43.5 fuel pressure difference between Ford and Chevy.

i dont know about the flow matching but they work with absolutely no modifications, other than pcm.

I'm running 32 lb racetronix and they were just a direct replacement. I've been running them for 2-3 years with no problems.

It sounds like there is no issue with the clips on the racetronix. Do you know
what is different with the SVOs and the clips?

Not even roughly for the LT1.

The flow factor for going from a 2.7 bar SVO (39.15psi) to the stock 3 bar (43.5psi) LTI fuel pressure is:

(43.5 / 39.15)^0.5 = 1.054

1.054 x 30.0 = 31.62 #/Hr

For the 58psi LS1 fuel system pressure, the factor is 1.217, which would be 36.51 #/Hr.

I put the Denso (Bosch under Japanese license) version of the SVO's in my 94 with no modifications of any kind. Harness connectors plugged right in. The retainer clips may not fit, or may require that you slide the injector out of the rail slightly to put the clip on. Currently running some 64# Bosch injectors, and they plugged right in to the stock harness.
