another fluidamper question

I know this was discussed before....
The fluidampr I have came with a washer/spacer that has a keyway cut in it.

Does this spacer go on under the timing cover? or does this spacer go on under the washer that came with my arp bolt after the balancer is installed.
when faced iwth the situation I realised if the spacer goes on after the timing cover is on, it will have to push through the seal which makes no sense to me. If it was supposed to go on before my timing cover then I am very angry and if it goes on right before the bolt and washer then why would there be a spacer between a nice fat washer that would seat better without it there.

It goes on the crank between the crank gear and the dampner. The Fluidampr is made to fit the 96/97 cars as well (with cps). The spacer takes the place of the cps which you don't have.

ok. used my brain and went to fluidampr.com in their install guide which wasn't that easy to find, I found the info. Snakeoil knows his stuff. The spacer goes on under the timing cover up against the timing gear on the crank shaft. Time to right what is wrong.

UPDATE::::::::::::
THe Spacer slides right on the crank hub without a problem and lines right up with the keyway. It doesn't even touch the seal No problem atall.
