I've done two now without failure.
My most recent I had an electric WP and both times I used a lot of assembly lube. I also use the cam sprocket bolted on to help hold the cam level and I go very slowly.
Someone should make a very specific poll with all the possible variables that have been discussed so it's easier to see any trends.
