Another ? about slp shorty headers
Another ? about slp shorty headers
I did a search and foud some stuff that was helpfull, but still didn't seem to help. I have the 96-97 style headers and after three weakends I have got them hooked up. The problem is that on the right side header there is a small hook up near the back and i can't get what seem to be some sort of mettle line to stretch to the hook up. So, if somebody could tell me what it is and how it hooks up maybe i can some day hear my car agin.
Re: Another ? about slp shorty headers
I believe thats your EGR. SLP makes a little extension tube for the 94-95 headers i dont know if they make one for the 96-97's. You either need one of those or need to delete your EGR.
Re: Another ? about slp shorty headers
Should be the exhaust feed to the EGR. There's a metal pipe that connects to the back of the intake manifold . My friend's single cat SLPs came with a short, maybe 3", adapter, that connects between the mounting hole on the header and the stock EGR feed pipe; looks like it helps clear the heater hoses.
