anyone put a different pulley on the powersteering pump?

is it possible to put a pulley of the same diameter on the powersteering pump, but that is made for the belt to run ribs down? I want to relocate the pump to the driver's side, but keep the alternator and a/c on the passenger side. the only way I can see to do it is to have the belt run on the oppposite side. would I even need to change the pulley if I added some outer ribs to it to keep the belt centered?
