Am I OK with stock fuel pump on 383 rebuild?

just getting ready to get rolling on my 383 stroker rebuild and trying to make sure i replace anything important that i need to while everything is out. i still have have the original fuel pump in there....should i replace? if so, am i ok to go back with stock gm? if not, what are other options. it's going to be a daily driver and probably no more than 400rwhp.

thanks in advance!

you shoudl be fine with stock pump...I am pushing almost 400RWHP and have no problems with fuel (but I am using 42lbs injectors)...Just make sure that you get good tunning...

I would reccomend getting a Walbro 340 intank pump. It is a relatively inexpensive, and I would reccomend it for your expected power level.

My stock pump lasted 3 months after I did a 383 with 30# injectors. I have a Walbro 255 now.
