Am I damaging the car...losing power???

I just installed MAC headers.

The driver side has a O2 sensor in it. Its not even plugged in though (its a universal).

The passenger side has the correct O2 sensor in and its plugged in to the factory harness.

The 2 rear O2's are not even there, The plugs just hang.

My SERVICE ENGINE SOON light is on.

But am i damaging the car at all. Besides gas mileage.

And how much power do you think I am losing because of it?????

Its not necessarily running rich or lean because the one pre-cat sensor is disconnected. The PCM can't go into closed loop without the O2 sensor being connected and working. Since it can't go into closed loop, it has no way to know it that bank is running rich or lean, and no way to correct for a faulty A/F ratio. If in fact is was running severley rich, you could be washing the lubrication off the cylinder walls, and diluting the oil. If its running lean, you could be running into detonation problems. Both of those conditions may damage the engine.

Why would you even attempt to run the engine that way?

After-cat O2 sensors are not a problem... they only check to see that the cats are there and working. Its running without a pre-cat sensor that might do damage.
