I have a question for anyone willing to help me out.

On my 96 z28, my alternator is making a very loud noise, and doesn't start up right away (takes a couple of seconds for it to crank over). I just replaced the battery a couple days ago, so I know it's not that.

Well my car is nowhere near as powerfull (driving wise) as it used to be. Could this be due to the bad alternator?

What is your volt gauge reading with key ON only and then with the engine warm and running? Have you taken any readings with a meter at the battery in the same situations?
