Alternator electircal plug in, what is this thing called and where do you get it???
I broke the clip off of the electrical plug in that goes in the back of the alternator. Where do you find this electrical plug (I don't know what it's called). It's part of the wiring harness. I asked the guys at the chevy dealership and they said they don't make it anymore
but said most auto parts stores should have it. So, if you've replaced it where did you get it and what is it called?
This is not the hot wire that sends the electircal current out of the alternator...

i've seen replacement gm alternator pigtails at autozone, they're in the same section as headlight wiring harness replacements
just dont ask the guys behind the counter they wont know what your looking for

Or if your really determined you can find the regulators that don't require an external feed and swap it out.
