Hey guys. I am building up a carburated 355 right now, so nothing fancy for the LT1 car for a year or two. BUT, my opti is dead, and I would like to convernt to vented, and maybe get a new cam while I am at it. Price is an issue. Is there anything for $475 or less that rivals the LT4 Hot Cam Kit, and comes with the rockers, cam, springs and all the rest of the stuff the LT4 Hot Cam kit comes with? I am looking for maybe a little more performance, but mostly a good price to get my car running with a new opti. And correct me if I am wrong, the LT4 springs just go on the stock LT1 head, correct? Thanks guys.

 

u can by a comp cams 305 cam or a crane 222/230 cam, any 1.6 rocker and K-motion k700 springs for a little under $500. that is what i am going to do. much better performance IMO!

What is the best place to buy those valvesprings, and what are they worth? Also, will those C.motorsports springs work on a stock LT1 head with no machining? Thanks guys.
