almost have $15,000, please review project

Alright everybody i am nearing the beginning of my project and thought i would go over my plans and finance with everyone and see if i am missing anything (which i'm sure i am)
A 96' TransAm M6--This car will be driven on the street %90 and see very little track time, driveability is a MUST. Shooting for 750rwhp at 18psi. 20mpg highway 13city.
-This car will be a 8.5:1 383 taking no more than 16-18psi from PTK hot parts, a2w intercooler, and pte76 turbo.
-Heads will be trickflow 68cc ported by AI around 275cfm @.600.
-Cam (just guessing opinions welcome) 219/219 dur. 115lsa, @.580/.580

Before my next deployment(feb 06) i would be very happy to have all this done.
- All labor will be performed by me except for the assembly of the bottem end.

Cost part
$3,500 crank, rods, pistons, rings, bearings, seals, gaskets, bolts.(If any one would like to suggest which brands to go with that would be great. I have been researching for months and I am very indecisive when it comes to spending this much money on something.)
$2,000 Labor for bottem end including boring, honing, block decked to 0, everything clearenced, cam installed, timing chain installed.
$3,410 Quote from AI: new ported trickflows fully assembled, custom cam, valvetrain package, ported intake, cloyes double roller timing set.
$450 58mm AS&M throttle body
$1000 racetronix dual walbroh setup, -8n return and feed lines, stock fuel rails, 83lbhr injectors
??? high volume oil pump
$2,200 F.A.S.T. engine management
$0 Base tune just to get her running and operational provided help from the wonderfull people at camaroz28.com
$500 Misc bull****
total: $13,060

This is where i will stop and after i get back from my next deployment i will finish everything aft of the flywheel and plumb the turbo system myself.
Thanks for ya'lls time, i am a very poor man and am trying to cover all my bases to prevent a unexpected hit to my pocket book. Thanks for your time and please feel free to make any suggestions. you guys rule

Keep in mind that if you are wanting to make that kind of HP, you are going to need to have your drive train beefed up. You will probably get by for a while with the tranny because they are tougher than you think but the stock 10 bolt won't last long with that much HP and TQ if you flog on it much. You would probably be good to get the good Street Twin clutch to handle all of the power also.

As far as the motor:
Crank: Cola, Callies, Eagle, Scat and Lunati are all good. Eagle would probably be the best bet for a budget.
Rods: Manley, Eagle, Scat, Oliver, Lunati an others are good. Oliver's are about the best but are very expensive. Again, Eagles are good for a budget.
Pistons: JE/SRP, Diamond, Weisco and others are all good. Just depends on how much you are willing to spend but the Diamond's are good as far as quality and price.
Bearings: King, Clevitte, and others.
Bolts: ARP.
Gaskets: Fel Pro or Cametic.

The heads seem pretty high. I know that AI does very good work and that includes cam and everything, but check around. Also check with AFR's, they make for good force induction heads.

There are a lot of small things that you need to consider. I just sat down and made a folder of items that I want to buy and keep track of the prices and how the parts compare while I am saving for the purchase.

don't waste your time with the bottom end like I did. Try these

http://www.revolutionaryperformance....t%20blocks.htm

Or try golen. Let the pros balance, hone and assemble. Then do the top end yourself with what ever you like

Trust me

Did I miss something? I didn't see the cost of the turbo in your list. Maybe you already have it?

Lots of things to comment on. But to start, the cam is too small to make that much hp, IMHO. Also, the head flow may not be enough, even with 16-18psi.

like rick said about the heads. you may need to invest about 4000 in the heads and look at a set of 227 afrs.

the ones listed in the thread are not up to your power level, but tell them your goals and power level and they can pick components to suit your needs.

That $500 quote for miscellaneous stuff is about $1500 too low.

And I don't see a 12-bolt or 9" in that list anywhere...you're going to have to spend alot of money elsewhere.

So you are going to pay 3 grand for heads and cam that flow 275?? The LE 3 kit will flow that and is around 1800. I think he also got over 300 cfm out of a set of trick flow castings.

It would be easier if you just gave all your money to me. Now seriously, you should go with AI ported AFRs.The rear end is a must,as mentioned.

shops can build 12bolt rear ends for youfor $1500 Cdn in Canada - they are abs compatible and are used on track cars here. Im sure there are places in U.S. that will do the same. If they are good enough for the track, they will definitely serve you well on the street.

If they are built for the track they probably use a spool and would therefore have no utility on the street. A good posi can cost up to $500us by itself. A ring and pinion will run $150. Axles are a bit over $200. So, without the housiong, cover, bearings, seals, ABS reluctor, etc. you are at ~$1000ca just for parts. That's why to buy a street 12-bolt ready to install and go costs $2,000us.
