all those with jethot lt's...........question

is it just me...............or is the #2 plug a major PITA?

all other plugs seem fine to reach.............but that damn #2 ( under alternator).....i tried all sorts of different angles, and i just cant get the right grip on it to make sure the plug wire is attached
i dont think i got that "snap" where it clips onto the end of the plug

how will i know if that one didnt go on right, and im running on 7 cylinders? hesitation?

JUst put some of those headers on myself (well actually I helped ) But as of right now #2 is not a problem from the top. Although I still have by alt off too. But I dont see it being much of a problem. A funny thing with the jet hots is twice now (once putting plug in, and once taking plug out ) when dealing with the #4 plug the socket has dropped down and always heads to where all 4 coolectors come together. It seems to be perfectly shaped to catch that socket and wedge itself all the way down, to where you have to use a skinny flat had to scoot it up the collectors and then grab it.

I had a real hard time with #2 too. However after threading the plug and hand tightening it, I used the socket and turned the plug tight with the appropriate sized open-end wrench. If I remember right, it was a 3/4. Then it was no problem.

You got it, 3/4 open end wrench and spark plug socket with the hex on the end.
Can do all of mine from the top, in like 20 to 30 minutes.
I dont have AC or AIR to get in the way though.

thats what i did................installing the PLUG is easy................i had a hard time pushing the plug wire onto the end of the plug.............maybe its just my car, but my ac lines are running right in the way of where you need to put your hand to push the plug wire on

btw..........i think one of my ac lines is actually touching a head primary......will that cause a problem?

True.
ANYTHING touching a header primary is living on borrowed time.
Do what ever you have to to get some clearance.

I remove the alternator and starter and do some from the bottom and some from the top. I also have a socket wrench with a hole in the middle of it that allows the plug to "stick" through it so I need very little clearance. About an 1 hour total now.

Check the ac line again. I though the same thing but actually it is about 1/4" or so away from it. Just enough room to push my pinky finger in there. THe guy that helped me with mine, has the hookers and said his did the same thing with no ill effects. I hate it being that close, but his where on for a year or more I believe.
