URGENT: RE: JetHot header AIR fittings
QUESTION: Am I supposed to remove the stock (Secondary Air Injector Check Valve Pipe Connectors) on each manifold for the AIR hookups and reuse them on the JetHot headers? Do they fit? Has anyone done this? If not what are you using and be specific please?
I just got mine in today from FEDEX and took of to about three hardware stores looking for the fitting to fit JetHot's AIR fitting on both sides. Well there is nothing standard about this fitting, no one has it so far. It is an 18 thread p/inch fitting that looks like 7/8" with a ID micrometer. JetHot is calling there contractor that manufactures their header to find out what size fitting this is. I called GM to find out what the double male fitting they use in their stock exhaust manifolds and the GM # is 12442329 (Secondary Air Injector Check Valve Pipe Connector) $6.03. But if I can use mine and they can actually come out I'll do so. Thanks in advance.

I replied to your private message...you can temporarily use a brass 5/8s double male flare fitting from Home Depot...this was for my 97 Z28 btw. It doesn't fit exactly but it seals without leaks...this is a cheap solution till you find the correct metric fitting.

Thanks man for the help. Turns out you are supposed to remove the stock fittings from each of the exhaust manifolds and reuse them, shrugs...so I guess I'll remove, clean, paint them high temp silver (match the JetHot headers) and I should be good to go.
