All with Stall Converter!!!!

Did you all notice a major difference in gas mileage?? I have 3.73's and was thinking going to a 2000, or 2400 stall converter and needed to know if I am going to be eating up gas. How your gas mileage affected???

Thanks you for your help whoever can

Why do you want to go with such a low stall? I'd advise at least 2800 true stall with 3.73's....

That's cool...in that case your gas mileage won't decrease much at all...nothing to go nuts over....I'd do at least a 2400 though for it to be worth while...

2000 stall=waste of money.

If you had a 2800 stall you could see upto a 0.5 sec gain but you would lose about 15-20 miles to a tank? Depends on your driving habits.

You shouldn't lose much gas mileage with that low of a stall. I also recommend that you go with at least a 2,800 though. Even with the 2,800 you won't lose that much mileage. JMO. I daily drive my 3,600 and it's not that bad.

I have a 3,500 stall, with 3.73. The mileage is some worse around town, depends on how much you get after it. A fair amout of my driving is on the interstate. Average mpg is about 16 with about 35% intown driving and 65% on the interstate. No great, but also not much worse than my 03 Avalanche.

I would recommend going with a higher stall than a 2,400. You won't see that much gain performace wise for the money.
