All hell just broke loose on my car!!!!

Dang it. Ok, I've been having the idle problem. Here's what I did today:

Pulled the chip, and hooked it up to EPromer5 so I could read, download, and save the bin file. I do that, and open it in Tunercat. I posted another one about that problem. Anyway.

I put the chip back in the car, and sh*t hits the fan. She idles fine now, but that's about all. Service Engine Soon light is constantly on. When I stomp the gas, I get a stutter and hesitation, then a rev up to 3000, where that's the end. Stuttering and hesitating, no go past 3000. And, the A/C magically started blowing hot air today too. Any ideas? I'm starting to think my chip is corrupt or something, because the car was fine when I got it, and is getting progressively worse as time passes.

Ok, after playing more, the 3000 rev limit is like it's hitting the rev limiter. It just bounces off and comes back to 3000. The A/C clutch is not engaging at all.

BUT, the most thought provoking thing is that when I tried to run datamaster, it could not connect to the PCM. I would press the start button to begin logging, and would get the message "No PCM sync....recycling...". Did the PCM fry or what?

When I installed my chip wrong (it was a piggyback chip, I didn't install it piggybacked) it did exactly what you described. 3000 rpm rev limit, hesitation, etc...I installed it correctly, and all was good. Hopefully your ecm isn't fried, the chip might not be fully engaged in the pins or something dumb

The chip is an Amtel 29C256 reflashable chip on a Moates piggyback adapter. Is there a top and bottom end to the Amtel chip?? I'm going to feel like a moron if it's upside down.

Well, I switched the Flash chip around, nothing, wouldn't even start. Swapped it back, and swapped the original chip around. Nothing again, no start. Swapped them back to normal, started, same problems persist. I then proceeded to swap piggyback adapters since I have another one, and the problem still persists.

Any ideas? Anyone? I need help!

FIXED!!!!!

Well, sorta. I pulled the piggyback harness, and put the semi-stock chip that was there in. WHAM! Fired up, idled nice, idled with the A/C on, which is blowing cold air again, and revved all the way up!!!!

So, on to the more pressing issue: Which could be bad? The chip, and does that happen? Or BOTH of my piggyback adapters?

The chip is most likely fried.
