I can speak for myself. I ran a 9.94 on spray with a unopened T56. I ended up bending the 3-4 shift fork. I guess that I am a bit rough on the shifts.

I went auto (T400) last year and I sold it this year. I am going back to my trusty old 6-speed and going to have fun. Actually I want Taner's respect again.

It is correct that Taner has busted before. He had a stock trans that busted last year and now his chryoed output shaft sheered right in half. I guess that it all depends on how hard you plan on hitting the trans.

The way that I look at it is that you will always find your weakest link. In Taner's case it was the torque arm breaking which then transferred it's demolition to the trans (the shock needs to be absorbed somewhere)
