I see what you are saying but that's not a LS1 hood. That is an LT1 predator hood seen here:

http://www.suncoastcreations.com/hoo...dator_hood.htm

I think it might fit under a factory ram-air hood, and will hopefully find out soon. The Ls1 induction set-up is way better that a LT1 CAI set-up. So if it will fit I will definently(sp?) be getting a lid for my LT1...

I took the lid box and everything off an LS-1 to put on an '94 LT-1 and there ain't no way.Your hood would have to be 4" higher in that spot.

What you may have seen is the Suncoast set up.It sorta looks like an ls-1 set up but you have to buy their complete set up with their hood.

What complete set-up? You can buy the hood and airbox from them not the lid. With the hood I have noe I think it might fit but am not sure yet, I will hopefullyfind out tomorrow...

I see. So basically the front part of your hood is close to stock height. My ram-air is higher in the front than my stock was. So hopepfully it will fit, even if I have to end up modifying the hood some...

Bring your saw.You will cut out all the bracing in that area and it still ain't gonna fit.the next step is through the outer skin.
Well whatever crank's your tractor.

I'm not sure.. maybe there are others.. but the only LT1 hood that will accomodate that set up is the SLP Ultra Z hood.

Ultra Z

But even then I don't know because SLP also sells this Air Box assembly to go with that hood

Air Box

So maybe only that air box will fit..

the only camaro lt1 hood that will let u use the lid is the UlraZ hood. I had the lid on my car. I had to heavily modify the ls1 lower airbox to make it all fit under the hood.

Would be nice, but i'm not betting on it. I tried to ask him twice about his intake/hood setup and he did not seem willing to talk about it.
