Airfoil

Am I the only one that has problems keeping that funny looking nut inside the throttle body that holds the airfoil on. I had tried and tried again and I have no conclusion

ok, this will get some looks, when i bought my first LT1 ( a 94 Z ) it had an airfoil in it. but here is the kicker, the person whom put it in there never installed the nut. The air foil was just sitting in there, and it never moved! just passing on some info.

If you have an airfoil that has the small wedge that drops under the cover, make sure that it's still there and not stripped out.

Your going to have to be a little more specific for me to follow but thanks for helping me. Do you think that the airfoil just sitting in there could possibly fall out and go into the elbow and just sit there and totally lose its purpose?

Did you install it yourself? Or was it on the car when you acquired it?

If it has a bolt through the center, it goes to a small wedge-shaped thing that you drop in through the top of the throttle body under the plate with six torx bits. Pull off the cover and see if it's stripped out (or even there). If it falls off, it won't fit through the throttle body, so you have nothing to worry about.
