man i'm still confused as to how a stock converter car can launch so hard... how does it do it w/o the torque multiplication and the ability to stall up higher when launching????

anywho, my car's trapped 104mph best w/ a 2800 stall converter in it.

I trapped 99mph with a 2.2 60'. I have the 3.23 and stock stall. The tranny was slipping badly so he might be a bit quicker. Be sure to keep us updated.

Honestly...it sucks. I'm launching at no more than 1200rpm; any higher and the tires break loose...

That's why I'm correcting this problem with a 3500. See what happens then...

Trapped at 106 last time out...this is before the new opti, electric water pump, tbbypass, complete tuneup, and I had 1-2 degrees of knock retard that I just got rid of. I should be around 108 or so.

When it was a bolt on car I would trap 105 consistantly and had a best of 107. That was through the stock exhaust manifolds.
