airbox
airbox
ok heres my question hopefully someone can help me on this///i have a 96 camaro that i just bought a suncoast ss hood for and a matching style ss airbox......my car now has pacesetter long tubes w/the egr/air stuff and traction control......i've visually tried to mount the airbox on top of the intake but nothing seems to fit...has anyone ever done this with a ss hood or is there a better airbox i can use...i really want to make this hood functional and all its already cut and i dont want a big hole on top of my engine to crap it all up..and i'd rather not start butchering the box to make it fit .....oh yeah plus i have a strut braise that goes directly across the motor...any help would be appreciated on this
Well I know that you have to replace the strut tower brace.
They make one that is bent to clear the air box.
As for mounting it I would think that you attach it onto the fuel rail.
With some plastic bolts.
Here is a link to the strut tower brace.

You have to get the SS one.
Ask them just to be on the safe side.

Re: airbox
I went through the same problem. I don't know how the suncoast box is, but oem mounts to the front two bolts to the fuel rail. You are going to have to ditch the strut brace. I used the fuel rail bolts. Also, if you have headers w/ the high front o2 sensor, you may have to heat the tube up and reshape it a little to make it fit.
