Just got off the phone with the Chevy dealer that sold me my 35th after having explained to them that instead of receiving the airbox lid promised with the performance package, I got the stock airbox lid.

They told me that when SLP was upgrading the cars, there was a back-order on the SLP lids and they decided to send the cars to the dealers with the stock airboxes!!!

They were not going to do anything about it until I caught them on it. So, those of you with the 345hp performance package, check to see if your airbox lid has the "SLP" logo on it. If not, get on the horn to your Chevy dealer and get it straightened out.

The people at my dealership were very easy to work with. My airbox will be shipped to me in two weeks at which point I will install it myself. They also stated that if you want, they will be happy to install the airbox lid for you. Hope your chevy dealers are as easy to work with!!!

Yeah...doesn't surprise me....SLP makes me mad. Everything I have ever ordered from them always takes WEEKS to ship and everything is ALWAYS on back order. You'd think with the demise of the F-Body they would busting thier a$$'s to get the parts to us ASAP to keep in business.....

SLP is a great model to every other performance company out there on how not to treat customers.

 

And their website sucks, being very un-user friendly. Just wanted to add my $.02. It took them forever to get my tires to me as well, and they were backordered on the tips for my Loudmouth exhaust when I ordered it through LS1 Motorsports.

 

That's just plain crazy! I smell class action...
