Air Pump by-pass

I have 2 friends that have LT1's and both are having check engine codes for air pumps. Is there a way to by-pass, trick, or eliminate the computer here? I live in KY, so emissions isn't a problem. One is a 94 TA and the other is a 97 Z28. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Usually codes wont throw as long as there's a fuse in the system. If your getting one however, the only way around is to have the codes programmed out.

The 94 (OBD-I) will not set a code as long as the fuse is good. The 97 (OBD-II) requires that the programming be changed.
