air pump differences

Why are my 95 Camaro and TA's air pumps different. The Camaro which I need to replace has just a plug on the side with the wires going into the pump where my TA has a plug with two wires going into the pump and two going to a solenoid with two vacuum nipples. I was hoping to swap them out and I can't understand why they would be different.

Re: air pump differences

They aren't. What you are likely seeing is pre and post pump recall (probably same as later model). The later ones have more stuff on them.

Re: air pump differences

If you use all the extra stuff from the one car, it should work. That's apparently what they did when the recall was done. I never took mine in for the recall, LOL.
