Air intake question..
Air intake question..
Im thinking about purchasing one of these cold air intakes off of ebay for around $50...no brand really..but i have been told by several people that the brand doesnt matter much, theyre all the same being the cone shaped filters....i would just like some guidance or suggestions as to, what i should look for, or if these ones off of ebay will be fairly good. thanks
any reason as to they would hate them though? i personally think there isnt much to the intake...its a chrome pipe, with an air filter, the cone filters are all about the same, i mean maybe a&n has an advantage to it, but $200 for an intake is a bit much for me to dish out... since i just got my car pretty much i wanna start modding it, im not sure what should get done first, any suggestions?
I had one of those ebay intakes when I had my V6 camaro and the only thing i hated was the fitment was horrible it didn't fit at all the to rig the thing up. If i was you i would just look for a used SLP,K&N or other brand name CAI in the for sale section they are always for sale for a decent price.
I had one of those ebay cai's and was happy with it, it came with a K&N filter and it wasn't a perfect fit it did the job and was around the $50.00 mark, that was a few years ago though, I did get a new SLP cai from here a while back, can't remember what I gave for it
so, to make a long answer even longer, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one from ebay, as long as it has a K&N filter

they won't flow any better than a stock one....
IMO the moroso flows the best and K&N second.....buy one of those, try to find it used...but don't buy the cheap ebay one. It just makes more noise, probly slow you down, most are only a 3" pipe, the MAF is 3.5"
