Well I just installed an air foil in my car the other day and I am either hearing a LOUD sucking type sound from the front of my throttle body or I am hearing my alternator whine like crazy. It happens when I first start it up before the car warms up then goes away until I start to drive again. Its so loud that I hear it echo off the cars when I drive by over my 3" flowmasters!!!! I hate it....I can hear it in the cab of the car too. Do these foils normally do this or do you think I should replace my alternator ( bad bearings? ) or just lube it up with silicone spray?! Thanks---

 

Rule out the airfoil, thats silly lol..
... id check the alt or maybe a new belt. you can just pick up a can of belt dressing for a few bucks and see if that helps

 

Check your intake Phelum, it could be that its not on all the way...happened to me not too long ago...

I just went out and started it and noticed the sound is coming from the alternator, DAYAM!!!! Will dressing fix it or are the bearings going out? I am wondering why it is loud sometime and then not so loud sometime.....thanks!!!

 

It was also the fact that I needed to put RTV on the new gasket I replaced when taking off the TPI upper plate during the foil install, lol!!!! Vacuum leak!!!
