Air Bag light! Make it go away!

My air bag light is on. I am not sure how to to fix this. I know its because I spun the steering wheel while the steering linkage was disconnected, but how exactly do i go about fixing this problem?

If you spun the wheel when the shaft was disconnected, you broke the leads on the SIR coil. A new coil is a $100+ item.

The quick and dirty fix is to cut the wire to the air bag light. There is a big yellow connector under the glove compartment. The airbag light is a brown wire that is marked B1 on the plastic connector (at least that's how it is on a 93, your year may be different).

Holy Lord! Screw getting that for awhile. I assume it wont mess anything else up if I leave it as it. Just the airbag wont deploy right?
