Ai CNC LT1's and 130mph+ traps... 9's forthcoming?

Guess I missed all the nonsense... glad I did.
However, I do have a gripe to place... so if you're the irratable type, you may want to tune out the rest of this.
There are a few professionals who come to this board and give their advice freely, trying to keep people from making mistakes, buying the wrong parts, getting too wrapped up in the misinformation. Some don't/didn't ask for anything in return and others (non "Paying advertisers") don't/didn't even plug their own businesses.
I'm not a "professional" in regards to engine building, head porting and the like, but I am a professional in computer programming languages and many things related on that end. I try to give my time to those who have an interest in that field of study. I also try not to chastise the advice that's been given by others. I'd rather show them a better way to achieve their goal instead.
I wish people would do more of the same on this side of things. If you don't like the advice being given, then you should work to inform people. If you aren't part of the solution then you are most definitely part of the problem. Everyone is here to help each other... and it is truely a shame if you CAN but won't.
This kind of thing has never set well in my stomach. Larry Meaux, Mr Horsepower & Kurt Urban from another forum.... all good examples of people who teach and inform without letting their egos get in the way.
Ron/Phil,
I look forward to seeing the new site and wish you guys the best in your careers.

Re: Ai CNC LT1's and 130mph+ traps... 9's forthcoming?
Ron/Phil: I can't wait to see what performance your port in the Trickflow LT1 castings will produce.
After talking to the wife I'm leaning on putting the s-trim back on since I already have a low c/r engine and the blower. With the trickflows and 13-14psi I should be able to get pretty close to the 9's.
Congrats again and good luck in tuning.

Nice work guys. I fully beleive it can be done with the right setup. In fact..we have a guy in La. who has run a best of 10.5 @ 128 or so on stock heads and a 350. Granted..its a full out stock elem. car which I'm sure the car running the 10.3s is too..or close to it. He is running a big solid roller and a worked intake..but heads are stock..and using a 48 MM tb. The car goes 1.3 60s and has a raceweight of about 3300 I think. So I'm sure a nice set of lt1 heads can do this in the right carand the 383 just makes it that much nicer. But..even though it is the "street heads"..I doubt its a "street car". Still nice job and I love to see cars running hard with a gm heads.

Once again, props to Rick for putting up some killer numbers his first time to the track with a new setup. I'm sure even better numbers are around the corner.

And here's a link to the purpose built car. BMR purpose built race car I tell you, even if he still is running a 4L60E that he builds himself! <-Thats old school right there, lol!

Re: Ai CNC LT1's and 130mph+ traps... 9's forthcoming?
Ya, know... the discussion has really burned out and gotten alot of people's panties in a bunch, but the fact is that I've NEVER heard of another OEM GM LT1 headed/LT1 intake car go that fast/quick EVER. We're NOT talking about a complete racecar. We're talking about a weekend warrior that's completely driveable anywhere you want to go... simple 383, 4200 stall, regular 4.30 gears, 12:1 pump-gas usable, stereo, full interior, backseats, MUFFLERS, THE STOCK PCM (no DFI, etc), etc. You have to give props where they are due. Many people are rightfully upset. It's to be expected. Get over it.

Here's what Ai is up against with their streetcar on a 10.32 @ 130 shakedown pass with a DA of over 2000 ft. The fastest LT1s in the country:

Secondly,
Where do you see that anyone is upset? As far as I can tell... all the negative stuff was deleted.
And why did I get thrown up in a list with a group of serious race cars?
If you'll read a little deeper into why I built my ride then you should know that I never intended to be the "fastest". And you are wrong Mike, my car is far from a trailer queen. I put 6k miles on the damn thing last year. And who cares what heads/intake you use. Let's just make up more excuses for losing a race.
FWIW, the cam is smaller than the one Bunker is running in his ~430 rwhp car.
On another note, my car is also running quicker now than it was when your list was made but I'm done giving out the details.
Now, I WOULD like to know how you know so much about the car where as none of us can really get a detailed response on the build... how radical the cam is, etc.. As far as I'm concerned the thing could be a stock eliminator type car. Is it impressive? Yeah, no one's saying it isn't.
Hey, I've known Phil ever since I started on this website and I've liked him from that very day. It has nothing to do with trying to beat up on him. I just think people have the right to know what kind of car they're trying to replicate if they should choose to do so.
And let's not forget... there are a number of hot shot engine builders and porters out there. Don't forget Tim (95bird) either. He's still on stock castings too. Chuck Riddeck was running low 10's from what I remember too with pretty cruddy 60' times. Jordon Musser was going pretty fast from what I remember.
Greenbean was going almost 12-flat with stock heads and bolt ons..... now he's going what... 11.4 with AI heads?
The 10.3 car with tiny heads will go faster. For one, chunk that tiny throttle body in the trash can. That'd be a good 1st step.

Why do you assume that the Ai car is a streetcar and all the ones you listed are racecars? Ed Wrights car has been 10.20's with a 4l60E on a stock PCM with LT4 heads and intake@3350 lbs. If you read the posts Ai's car did NOT run that 10.30 on PUMPGAS it was on RACEGAS...so clarify to me who in fact has the racecar?
BTW if this combo is so simple....throw one together and see what it runs.

Sorry dude..4.56 gears, 4800 stall in an auto is not exactly a "street car". Maybe as much of a street"able" car as mine is but is more of a race car that you "can" drive on the street.
