Aftermarket Tach w/shift light in A4?

Is is a good idea to run an aftermarket tach and shift light when you have an a4? I know the factory tach isnt that accurate so is having a tach and shift light a good idea or is it more accurate to just let the transmission do the shifting on its own?

Its automatic for a reason, if you wanted to shift manually should have gotten a manual. The tach might be fine to use, but I laugh at anyone who has a shift light in an A4.

Unless you have a full manual valve body in your car.. leave the shift light OUT.

yeah for you, def. let the pcm do the shifting. for me, however I DO manually shift mine. cause its a 700r4 swap. and the shift points while it D or OD are too low rpm. plus on the older trannies manually shifting brings on full line press as opposed to what the TV cable THINKS the line press. should be.
