aftermarket cam?
Re: aftermarket cam?
A hotcam and stock heads provided the correct supporting mods should net you around 330 or so rwhp. You could notice a bigger dif with a dif cam but it will cost more cause it doesn't come in a kit. You should be able to run the stock lifters also as long as they are in good shape.
Imo the hotcam makes for a good driver and makes decent power espesially for the price.

Re: aftermarket cam?
I don't see headers in your sig but make sure you have those first before you do a cam. I'd personally get a custom cam. There was a guy that put out 360rwhp on stock heads with a custom cam. Thats about a 20rwhp difference over most of the off the shelf grinds.
Re: aftermarket cam?
The HOTcam kit is a fine choice. The price is right, it will give good power, and the guys who do "mail order tuning" can usually nail a good tune for that cam because it has been around for so long and is so popular. I'll agree that you do need headers first to take full advantage of this cam. The general procedure is to have all the bolt ons in place to support the cam, so most guys do an intake, headers, exhaust before doing a cam swap.
The biggest bitch that you're going to run into is swapping valvesprings with the heads still on the car.
