Can this be the vavle seals? When i start it after it sits a while and then rev it a little to like 1.5k, it like gurggles on the way down and sounds like it wants to die? I am guessing it is valves seals or IM leak? Is this ok to do?

Yeah, it's probably worn out valve seals. It will be a fun job in the car, but it can be done. You could probably check shoebox's site for instructions on getting to the seals (taking off the rockers and springs and stuff) without dropping a valve into the cylinder. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech1.html

that's shoebox's tech page, you should be able to find some stuff on there. Even a valve spring swap or something should give you decent instructions. Or you could always just leave it the way it is.

I wasnt hoping to hear that. I am just gonna leave it like that then. It isnt like it uses oil, just that if it sits for 3 or 4 days it burns a little on startup, you can just smell it and see a very little cloud of smoke.

If there was only a heads and cam foundation...

well if it only consumes very minor oil/oil change (say like 1/2 quart over 3,000 miles) I wouldn't worry too much about it at this stage. If you are going to do a heads/cam in the future you could probably put it off until then, however as well all know when we have a project it always takes a lot longer to get to it than we anticipate, so just monitor it closely and should it start to become an issue, you may want to push up the heads/cam project.

Its only gunna get worse. And the oil will get to your Cats (if you still have any) and or coat your 02's. And Oil burning trough the valve guides causes misfiring too. Not to mention valve deposites that will eventually choke your engine and cause knocking and pinging.

Well at least a couple of years down the line.....
