After accedent few problems
After accedent few problems
well accually this is for my buddies 94 z28...
he's got edelbrock headers & exhaust
he's got a shift kit & rebuild/reinforced a4 tranny,
he's got a SS hood and intake
i think that might be it for mods
anyhow he got into an accedent maybe a year ago (slammed on the brakes on fwy and slid under a 80's caddie... messed up his hood, front bumper, and washer fluid and since then everyonce in a while a few of his idiot lights flash on for just a moment... i think its his ABS light and Traction... but i could be confused...
he says they flash when his car shifts kinda hard... but we donno why it does it...
also his car is running poorly and needs a tune does anyone have any good ideas on how i could convince him to do a bit of maintanace?

Re: After accedent few problems
Just a thought but he may have a loose or corroded connection causing either the EBCM or the PCM to momentarily "brown out". Check several grounds and the positive cluster for clean tight and unbroken connections.
Also, his battery hold down is probably broke. Everyone elses is. See if the battery is rocking back under hard accelleration and shorting against something behind it.

Re: After accedent few problems
Check the ground lug on the passenger side fender next to the big red plastic power block. It's got several wires going to it and at least one of them is ground for the ABS...I had a similar problem when hitting the brakes and the wires were just loose. I'd pull them off and clean the connections with sandpaper before tightening.
