AFR heads-water jacket holes

Has anyone ever seen this on their AFR heads? It looks to me that the top and bottom water jacket holes will not line up correctly if the heads are interchanged....is there a right/left head? Could this cause an overheating condition? Please look at the following pics and check out the cooling passages on the top of the head and bottom of the head...then the pic of the block....it looks like I have two of the same side head. Is this just me and I'll be ok with this or is something wrong? It looks like cyl 1 and 2 only have 1 water jacket hole on the side of the cyl closest to the block. Thanks.

Don't know it this helps or not but the heads are interchangeable on a regular Lt1. There is no right/left.

Second here - My AFR's (as well as stock LT1 heads) aren't side specific. Or I got really lucky when I put them on . The lack of the hole is probably by design.

the holes are the same on both heads different when you bolt them on one has 2 holes in rear, and the other has 1 hole. I am ready to put mine on and have the same thing on mine, and dont know what to do.

I don't know enough about the flow of water in the heads...does one side have to have the hole and the other side not? It seems to me that would make 1 head hotter at operating temp. than the other...can anyone explain the cooling process through the heads?

If the stock heads are the same part # and interchangeable wouldn't aftermarkets have to fit that qualification as well?
