Take AFR and shove them up their ***. I will explain if you wish... but do a search for posts I have made and you will see why.

Re: afr heads

I heard TEA hogs their heads out for flow numbers... but the velocity sucks... therefor... on paper they look good... but not on the dyno/track. THIS IS TRUELY WHAT I HAVE HEARD... NOT ACTUAL PERSONAL RESULTS.

WOW!!!! hahaha I guess I wont be going for AFR heads. But you know Im going to need to know why I tried to do a search under your name but I was on page 10 and just gave up looking for your situation. I was looking at Trick Flow heads But my machinist told me about AFR said they were excellent set of heads but I like to take everybodys opinion in concern. I would also like to know what does "AI" stand for and where can I get them?

Re: afr heads

AFR genuinely earned a good rep a few decades back when the OEMs had junk for heads. The LT1 marked a HUGE step up in heads for GM and AFR has not kept pace. Most AFR supporters will even admit the smaller "street" stuff is not worthwhile and thier inhouse porting is bad.

AI is www.advancedinduction.com I would recommend ported stock castings which they can do or sell you Trickflows worked if you insist you "need" an aftermarket casting.

Re: afr heads

Written February 23rd....

Well, I ordered my Heads, PN 1057 back in November. The order got processed in January. I specifically spoke with Scott, the representative at AFR who deals with all of JD's Performance orders. HE HIMSELF specifically told me they would ship the third week of February. I then called him LAST WEEK, and again SCOTT told me they would ship TODAY, Thursday, Feb 23rd. I called today for a tracking number. SCOTT then proceded to tell me that there was no information in the system about my order. When asked what that meant... he informed me that meant that the heads had not even been started for production... and would be at least another 2 weeks. When I questioned him about being told they would ship on Thursday... he then told me this...

"Well, if in fact you were told that, then, to be honest, someones bull ****ting". Well WHAT THE @@@@ MOTHER @@@@ER??? Your the only one who can be bull****ting??? @@@@ you.

You are wrong. Especially for a stock shortblock ported stock castings are a GREAT choice.
