afr 215rr

is it possible to get the lt4 manifold modified to work with this head, or do you have to go like single plane?

I'm going with these & a SuperVic custom EFI in July. Using 210s with my new setup in the shop. I have not heard of anyone being able to use LT4 on these, don't think it's possible.

Re: afr 215rr

A head like that deserves a real intake. Sure with enough welding and porting it could fit, but you would be leaving alot on the table, and if you are going to shaft mounts, solid roller, and offset lifters I don't think you would want to let an intake manifold rob you of 40+ hp.

These heads are not a simple bolt on for the faint of heart.

AFR straight up tells you can't use a LT type manifold with these heads. I don't think you could get one to flow enough anyways.
Also you need some major displacement to use a ported pair of these guys. There F&#@%* awsome heads

I agree. These heads need a real intake that flows as much as they do.

Re: afr 215rr

Not too long ago, within the past month or so, someone sold a set of AI ported 215 RR AFR heads, with a modified LT4 intake to match. I dont know if they have been installed or ran by now, but it looks like AI was able to get them to bolt together. I dont know how much work it took, would be interesting to know

You can do it... but I just think it's a waste to do.

Re: afr 215rr

I bought some used 215RR off the board with a Hogans Intake.

I would not waste the time and money to try and get an LT4 to work with these BAD *** heads. My old ported LT4 intake doesn't seem to even come that close to the ports.
