how much is involved in putting together the entire setup, rr's studs valves everything?

and should i port the heads before i put it all together?

also would it be in my best interrest to just send them away and have them done professionally? if so who should they go to?
Correctly preparing high-performance heads (multi-angle valve job, spring height/shims, porting, re-surfacing, Etc.) is both a science and art-form, therefore it would be best to have a reputable performance shop set-up the heads for you. Also, make sure you select valve springs that will handle the lift of your cam and then mock-up the engine and check the required push-rod length.

And I am glad to see the that "professionals" are still able resort to name calling when they dont like something, especially when a "no body" starts asking questions.

Dont you mean Engine Disasters Challenge?

I've been up to AI's shop, you should see the stuff in there. I don't think Phil is big on pictures of stuff online, but I've seen some HUGE heads up there. He put a normal sbc valve through an entire port, in one end and out the other. I'll ask if he'll take a pic of that, it was insane!

Exactly.

You guys really need to chill a bit. Bret never implied that it was HIS picture. Somebody asked what a CNC head looks like and he showed a picture of one. People here are plucking links for pics off other sites daily and now all of a sudden for this thread it is an issue if credit is not given??? Come on.

Some need to just drop the bickering. If it doesn't stop, we'll start taking some action to try to stop it. Moderators shouldn't need to babysit members who know better. Thanks for cooperating

Now what if Bret had nothing to do with car parts? What if he was just another member on here that happened to have that pic? I bet nothing would have been said to him.

No, more like what if I had nothing to do with Lloyd, who is a competitior of Ai? I guess nice guys attract nice customers and well you know the rest.

Let me just make this clear, I don't look down on or not like you if you have bought or will buy Ai heads, I just don't like them personally for things that they have said ABOUT ME in the past, it was basically SLANDER. (sackless not say it to my face slander at that) I've worked with a number of guys who have Ai heads, just like I have with customers of GTP, AFD, Meaux, Blackstone, etc.... Only thing is those customer never have a chip on their shoulder. Wonder why?

Bret

yeah, this stuff is geting pretty bad in here, it was a damn picture to help the guy out, no need to turn it into a brand bashing fest, he was not claiming anything about the picture other than it was a cnc'd head, who cares where it came from. He's not writing a research paper with a frickin bibliography.... on a side note did you ever find out if they were ported yet?
