Being new is cool, ya gotta start somewhere.

As far as your heads and cam that your thinking about upgrading, you have a lot of options. Most of the guys on the board really like Lloyd Elliot. I've seen some of the numbers that many of his customers have put down, and all the cars he works with always have positive results. You can visit his site at www.eportworks.com and Lloyd is from Texas.

Another option which I have chosen, is Advanced Induction. Ron and Phil are a pleasure to work with. I didn't know much in terms of what or how to go about doing this, and they paticently walked me through it. I'm sure LE would do the same, as I have always heard nothing but good from him as well. The reason I chose Advanced Induction was all out of a few personal preferences. You can visit their website at www.advancedinduction.com.

Your heads and cam should coinside with your driving habits with the car, and what you plan to do with it. Plan ahead!!

If you are going to put down some serious horsepower numbers? Might as well invest in a nice transmission. Have it built strong with a nice shift kit, and perhaps a Vigalante converter. If I were to purchase an aftermarket converter this is the brand I personally would reccomend.

Good luck.

Re: Advice on heads/cam...

When I called up Advanced Induction, the first question they asked me, was what I wanted to do with the car in terms of performance. I let them know exactly what my intentions were and how I wanted to drive it. Looking at your mods, you are going to want a good set of headers. If you are going to go the long tube route, Pace Setters seem to do pretty well from what I've heard.

LE's LE1 as seen on his website put down outstanding numbers. With a good trans built and a streetable 2800 stall, I would estimate a possibility for 11's on a well set up car and a good launch. There are always options to do LE1 heads an LE2 cam or vice versa. AI will give you options such as these as well. For many well maintained LT1 cars equiped with a well configured heads/cam it is not unlikely to make 400rwhp.

Good thread about LE stuff.... lots of examples of 400rwhp+ cars. Hell there are even 3 more this week.
