355 6 Speed goes 10.49 @ 130.4 NA

Went back to the track to see how this thing was gonna run. First pass went pretty well laying down a 1.44 60 and running a 10.51 @ 130.31. I was pretty happy with that since it put me in front of tanner but though I could do alittle better. Messed up second run and slowed to a 10.55 but on the last run of the night with the dew setting on the car managed a

60 1.437
1/8 6.710 @ 105.74
1/4 10.494 @ 130.4

I pulled a pretty good wheelie on that one and bogged the car. I finally got it hooking good on the last run. I was running the 6000 chip in the 2 step so I know I could throw more launch rpm at it and it will pick up. I was also adding fuel all night and it seemed to like it more and more..so I feel there is more in this thing. Oh well...I plan on hitting the track soon again to see if I can improve on it. Also..weight was alittle over 3300 lbs.

10.55 run
10.49 run

and if you ever wanted to hear my car at idle..here it is.
idle and burnout

Sorry they are alittle dark, they didn't transfere very well from my camera.
P.S.... TANER...beat cha.

Awesome run Tim! That car is running great! Cant wait to see what your new set up runs, will the boost be via turbo or large blower? You need to frame that 355 in a glass case, who knew that little budget 355 insurance motor would have lasted this long

Thanks guys

Neal..yea..who whould have thunk this little bottom end is still plugin along. I actually did a leak down and all cyl. were around 6%. Not too bad for 4.5 years of 7000 rpms and beatin the crap out of it...7000+ now. New setup will be getting boostesses via a big hokin turbo.

You and Clint need to race now, give him some hose and it will be a good race!

Clint is too much for me on the jug...and my car is jugless. I don't mind a good race but putting my head on the choppin block isn't my idea of fun

Weather was good but on the last/best run I had dew setting in on the car and windshild was fogging up bad to the humidity was going up. I think the DA was around -800. Very nice air but we get freak -2500 DA down here every now and then

Everyone else..thanks.

Have him take some jug out of it was what I mean.... he could be cut to a 50-75 shot and it might be fun... just don't go do a episode of Pinks!
