Advanced Induction Head Porting

I am putting in some overtime at work and was thinking about doing heads and cam. From what I have seen from Grease and a few others on the board is that they do some of the best work around. However, I was wondering if its worth the extra $400 to go with the Full-Port. I believe Grease went with the Econo Port and I wondered what the rest of you guys thought. If there was anyone out there with a flow comparison. Let me know, $400 is a lot of money for the "next step" but if its a huge difference in performance then I may save a little longer.

"He's a sonofabitch!"

You should email me & I can tell you what would be necessary to meet whatever goals . Most people can save some $ if they arent going all out, which is a good thing .

I would contact Phil at AI and tell him your goals/budget and see what he recommends. $400 may or may not be worth the amount of power between the 2.

I bet if you called him and asked him he'd tell you why there's an EC and FP! Woops, I think I brought an old thread to the top

AI - the next Cz28 trend .

From everything I've seen, anyone with some skills can make LT1s perform if they put some effort down. Their (AI) cars are making the numbers GTP was making before Craig stopped doing the work. Hopefully AI will not become another Cz28.com has been.

Not taking a cheap shot at AI, just speaking my mind.

Good luck,
Ryan

I got to tell ya, I have never seen two more proffessional people than Lloyd and Phill. Neither of these two great head porters will say a bad thing about the other, in fact they often compliment each other, in this post Lloyd recommend contacting phill for more info, not plugging himself. I have seen Phill return the favor in other posts. Thats just outstanding. My hats are off to both you gentlemen. God Bless America.

That's one big thing that I noticed too. Nice to see some professionalism in a market like this. I've been going back/forth with Phil the last couple weeks about what to do with my heads and he's been a pleasure to talk to, always prompt returning my e-mails. Now I just have to pony up the cash. I've got a 700/mo truck payment for the next 4 months, and since my roommate moved out which I wasn't planning, money is a whole lot tighter now. I know what I'm asking Mom for Xmas hehe Actually, with this fantastic Ramen diet I've been on I should be able to muster up the money

Cool

Only reason I don't step up the one lackluster part of my engine (my heads ) is that i'm broke...lol

Call Phil, he knows what you'll need if you tell him your goals and mods. Sometimes 23cfm can mean the world....

Heck, sometimes I wish I went with the full port job. A little extra cfm never hurt anybody

peak cfm is one thing but low, mid lift #'s, runner volume, port taper, velocity, etc. are more important. If you call Phil and tell him what kinda RPM you wanna turn and what cam you have picked out, he will tell you what to expect and what he recommends for heads. He might also have a better cam for you as well.
