What is Iac?

 

Idle air control valve as found in the throttle body.

 

I reset the IAC according to shbox and the car now idles fine when in park. when you either put it in gear or touch the gas it stalls. in gear the idle jumps from 500 to 1000 and back down until it finally stalls out. when you hit the gas it just goes up then stalls out. What could this be?

 

It would be convenient if you could find someone to swap throttle bodies and MAF's with. Could be your IAC, could be a vacuum leak, I'm only guessing.
