Accesories problem...
Lately my voltage has been reading low. When I try to turn the wheel, its difficult and the gauge will dip lower and some times the check gauges light comes on. The same thing happens when I turn on the AC. Also when I first start the car, I hear a screech.
The belt is a few months old. The ps pump is a reman and is several months old, it doesn't make any noise that the old, bad power steering pump made (not that I'm ruling it out though). When I turn on the AC I hear a slight intermittent screeching noise. I put in a new can of pag oil to no avail. I had the alternator tested a few months ago and it passed, I will have it retested shortly.
I don't know which pulley to put the blame on...the alternator, AC clutch, ps pump, tensioner, or all of the above?
Some ideas I had were:
-The rack has gone out, but that doesn't explain the dip when the AC comes on.
-The AC clutch has gone out, will that cause the steering problem?

I figured I'd order these from Summit:

Good idea?

I'd put my money and bet on the tensioner or cracked belt, seems like everything on the belt is messing up, squeeling, low alternator voltage (causes check gauges lite), PS and A/C. With engine off can you spin the alternator pulley ?? if so inspect your belt for cracks or get under it to and make sure the tensioner spring is working.
Well I got the AC delete pulley and tensioner in the mail. I installed them yesterday. They went on with no problem. While doing so I took a look at my crank dampener... The outer ring had about a half inch of play. Called AZ and they actually had a dampener in stock...$56.
Fired the car up, no noise, voltage was higher, never dipped, steering stayed consistent. Thought the voltage stays a hair under 12v, not the 13-14 I was expecting.
