Accel Gen VII DFI?
Accel Gen VII DFI?
Does anyone know anything on how well this will work on the LT1? I know people were having problems getting the gen 6 to work right. Was hoping the gen 7 would work better. I think there was a problem with getting the computer and the opti.
Thanks,

Are you thinking about running the Accel 7.0?? I have heard mixed reviews about the system. They had lots of issues when the kit first came out but since have fixed them. In all honesty I think a stand alone computer is a waste unless you are running a high hp motor and your stock computer can not handle it. I talked to probably the best DFI tuner (JOb SPetter Jr) in the country last year and he loves the system. He also explained to me that it requires alot of experience with tuning since there is so many screens and so many parameter you can change on your car. I currently am running a SpeedPro system on my car and it is suppose to be an easier system to tune. I have messed with it a little but I still have alot to learn. The wideband 02 makes it alot easier to tune you car
Regardless of what system you do with understand that you are going to have to dedicate some time to learning the system

anyone know a factory speedometer convertion when using DFI gen VII?
I'm using Accel DFI and I have all the gauges on the dash working except the speedometer. Does anyone know if there is some kind of an adaptor out there that will incorporate the factory speedometer?
I ran gen6 for 3 years and gen 7 start of this season....any tunable engine management will only be as good as the tuner tuning it..basically all the systems out there do the same things..The Gen 7 however is more tuner friendly..
