I've built my 97 bird and have some exta parts.

so I plan on building up my 95 impala but plan on spending as little as possible.

my questoin is if i keep stock crank, and rods, will they handle head work and a camshaft upgrade.

 

Stock internals will easily support a heathy heads/cam setup. There are numerous members here making 450-500HP at the flywheel on the stock parts.

 

Yep. It's a shame we have to do all the work taking the engine out just to swap pistons so it can handle a supercharger or turbo.
